If you're having trouble finding your videos, it's important to consider the specific video types within AlfredCamera: Events, Moments, and Playback. Each type has distinct characteristics that determine its availability. Let's delve into the potential reasons why your videos might not be appearing as expected.
Event & Moment
Events capture specific incidents detected by AlfredCamera's Activity Detection feature, while Moments are manually recorded videos saved by you during a Live session. These videos can disappear due to the following reasons:
- Video Expiry: Event & Moment videos are retained for a limited period. For free and Premium Lite users, videos are stored in the internal storage of the Camera device with a maximum retention of 7 days depending on the storage available, while Premium users enjoy a 14-day storage period.
- Deletion: If you or someone with access to the app deletes an event video, it will be permanently removed from your video feed.
Moment
Moments are manually recorded and saved by you during a Live session.
Playback
Continuous Recording captures an 8-hour loop of video, where new recordings overwrite older ones automatically. If you're looking for an older recording beyond the 8-hour window, it might have been overwritten by newer content.
In addition to the specific reasons mentioned above, a few common issues could lead to videos not showing up in your AlfredCamera app:
- Unstable Network: If your network connection is unreliable, your videos might not appear on your Viewer device. Refer to the troubleshooting section in this article for guidance on resolving connection issues.
