To make your AlfredCamera experience smoother, we're updating how App Lock works in an upcoming release. With iOS and Android's built-in security features — like Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint recognition, and screen lock — now more robust than ever, system-level protection is sufficient to keep your account safe. As a result, App Lock will no longer be supported on the Viewer side.
App Lock on the Camera side is not affected by this change.
⚠️ Note: This change will take effect in AlfredCamera version 2026.12.0 or above.

What's changing?
After the update, opening AlfredCamera on the Viewer side will no longer trigger an App Lock prompt. You'll go straight into the app without needing to enter a PIN or complete biometric verification.
Your privacy and device security remain fully protected by your phone's built-in lock screen — nothing changes on that front.
Is my device still secure?
Yes, not to worry. If you have a system passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, or other biometric authentication enabled on your device, that system-level protection will continue to keep your device secure.
Does this affect App Lock on the Camera side?
No. App Lock on the Camera side is completely unaffected. Your existing Camera-side settings will stay exactly as they are.
What happens to my existing App Lock settings?
Your App Lock settings are preserved — nothing gets reset or deleted. After the update, App Lock will only activate when you open AlfredCamera on the Camera side. Opening the app on the Viewer side will no longer trigger the lock.
