We’re announcing an important change to our supported operating systems for iOS Viewer mode, effective May 1, 2025, which will no longer support versions below iOS 14.
What’s Changing?
Starting May 1, 2025, Viewer Mode will no longer be supported on devices running iOS 14 and below.
Why is This Happening?
The challenges our engineering team faces in maintaining the product on such outdated operating system versions have grown significantly. We understand that some of you may be disappointed.
AlfredCamera has always strived to provide the best and most consistent user experience across all devices. As we aim for continuous improvement, it’s time for us to move forward.
What Does This Mean for You?
- If you have another device running iOS 15+ or Android 5+, you can continue using it as a Viewer.
- If you only have this device, you can still use it as a Camera.
- If you have another computer, you can still log in to https://alfred.computer and use it as a Viewer.
- If you are using iOS 14 or below as a Viewer through Guest Access Mode, you will be logged out and any related settings will be lost. We recommend updating your device’s operating system to iOS 15 or above now to continue enjoying stable service as a Viewer.
