Live streaming is one of Alfred's key features. It lets you monitor your home, pets, babies, or other loved ones through your Camera devices in real-time. To view Live, both the Viewer and Camera devices must have stable internet connections.
How do I watch Live?
To watch Live, please
- Select any of the Cameras on your camera list
- Click on the camera cell to start watching Live

What does the eye icon mean?
The eye icon you're seeing represents the number of viewers currently watching the live session. The number displayed by the icon indicates how many people are viewing the session, including yourself. This means the count will always be at least 1, as it counts you as a Viewer while you are participating in the live session.
Can multiple Viewers watch the same Live feed simultaneously?
For our Premium users, you can enhance your live viewing experience by allowing up to 3 Viewers to watch the same Live feed from the same camera simultaneously.
Once you upgrade to Premium, the indicator on the icon will reflect this change, showing a maximum capacity of up to 3 Viewers. This increase occurs regardless of whether the camera has been shared with others, indicating the total number of Viewers that can simultaneously watch the live feed.
⚠️ Note: This feature requires both Viewer and Camera devices to run on a minimum of iOS 11 and Android 7, with the AlfredCamera app version 2023.9.0 or above, WebCamera has yet to support this feature. Moreover, the bar below contains the iOS devices that are NOT compatible with this feature due to system restrictions (you can scroll through the bar to get the full list):

Can I watch multiple Cameras simultaneously?
While you can add as many Camera devices to the same Alfred account, you can only watch the Live session of one Camera device on one Viewer device at a time. If you'd like to watch multiple live feeds simultaneously, please use Alfred's WebViewer on your PC.
Can I zoom in on the Live image?
For our Premium users, you can zoom in during your Live session if you want to check out certain details in the frame.
Once you upgrade to Premium, you can either pinch or double tap the screen to zoom in on the screen for up to 4.0x.
⚠️ Note: For Android Camera, to enable the zoom-in feature, please make sure you have set the pipeline of your device to Camera 2.0.
Can I change the resolution in Live?
For our Premium users, you can change the quality of your live image based on preference.
Once you upgrade to Premium, you may tap on the Quality icon and choose a higher resolution.
Why does Alfred ask "Are you still there" occasionally?
To optimize your experience and manage resources efficiently, the app inquires with "Are you still there?" when live streaming remains inactive for 5 minutes of idleness. This prompt serves a dual purpose: it helps conserve battery life and reduces data consumption, ensuring that you continue to enjoy a seamless viewing experience without unnecessary resource usage.
For Premium users, you can switch to Auto-streaming mode in the camera settings to enjoy an uninterrupted streaming experience.
What is a backup connection?
Alfred always tries to establish a direct or peer-to-peer (P2P) connection between the Viewer and the Camera device. However, when this direct connection is not possible, Alfred will relay the data as a backup connection through an intermediate server so that the Viewer and Camera devices can still talk to each other. If you keep getting disconnected from the Live feeds every few minutes, please check your network stability.

Why can't I use certain features on WebViewer/WebCamera?
Our WebViewer/WebCamera is intended to serve as an introductory or temporary alternative to our mobile application. This design choice is aimed at providing users with flexibility and immediate access to their camera feeds without the need for a mobile device in every scenario. However, it's important to note that the web platform does not support the full range of features available on the mobile version of AlfredCamera.
To explore the full potential of AlfredCamera and utilize all its features, we highly recommend using the mobile AlfredCamera app available for iOS and Android devices. The mobile app is designed to offer a comprehensive experience, including advanced functionalities that are optimized for use on mobile platforms.
