How to manage my Camera devices?

This article contains the most common actions related to managing your Camera devices. Learn how to: 

• Add or delete Camera devices
• Change my Camera device’s name
• Switch my device between Camera mode and Viewer mode

Add or delete Camera devices

Add a new Camera device to your account 

1. Download the Alfred app in the Google Play Store or the App Store on your new Camera device (please find out what devices and systems Alfred supports)
2. Log in to your new Camera device with an existing Alfred account (via Google/Email/Apple ID), or pair it with the QR code generated from your Viewer device 

Once Alfred detects that the new device shares the same email account as other devices, your devices will automatically be linked. You can find the new Camera devices under your Camera list. 

Delete a Camera device from your account 

⚠️We recommend saving your important videos before deleting your Camera device.

1. Open the app on your Viewer device
2. Make sure the Camera device is offline
3. Tap the Camera's settings wheel on the Viewer device
   
4. Tap "Delete Camera"
   

Change my Camera device’s name 

1. Open the app on your Viewer device
2. Tap the pencil icon next to your camera's display name
   
3. Type in your new Camera name
   

Switch my device between Camera mode and Viewer mode

Switch from Viewer mode to Camera mode

Tap the drop-down menu on top of the app, and choose Camera

Switch from Camera mode to Viewer mode

There are two ways to switch from Camera mode to Viewer mode:

Method 1. 

Tap the drop-down menu on top of the app, and choose Viewer

Method 2. 

1. Tap the hamburger menu icon on top of the app
   
2. Tap "Switch to Viewer"
   

⚠️ If you cannot switch modes, it might indicate that your device doesn't meet Alfred's system requirements.
