What is the Activity Detection Widget? 
The Activity Detection Widget is a home screen shortcut that lets you turn Activity Detection on or off for your selected camera — without opening the AlfredCamera App.
⚠️ Note: This feature requires AlfredCamera version 2026.14.0 or later, iOS 17 / Android 8 or later, and is available to Premium subscribers only.
How to add the Widget to your home screen
iOS
- Long press on an empty area of your home screen
- Tap the + button in the top left corner
- Search for AlfredCamera
- Select the Widget size (Small: 1 camera / Medium: 4 cameras)
- Tap Add Widget
Android
- Long press on an empty area of your home screen
- Tap Widgets
- Search for AlfredCamera App
- Select the Widget size (2x2: 1 camera / 4x2: 4 cameras)
- Drag it to your home screen
How to set up the Widget
iOS
- Long-press the Widget and tap Edit Widget
- Tap the camera field and select a camera from the list
Android
- Tap the Widget to open the camera selection screen
- Select a camera from the list — up to 4 cameras
- Once the maximum is reached, the remaining cameras cannot be selected
⚠️ Note: Trust circle cameras and WebCamera are not supported as they do not support Activity Detection.
How to use the Widget
Once set up, tap the Activity Detection toggle on the Widget to turn it on or off — no need to open the App.
⚠️ Note: There is a 30-second cooldown after tapping the toggle. During this time, taps will be ignored.

Why can't I use the Widget?
This could be due to one of the following reasons:
- You are not a Premium subscriber (this is a Premium feature)
- AlfredCamera App has not been updated to version 2026.14.0 or later
- Your device's OS version is not supported (iOS 17+ / Android 8+)
- You are on the Camera side — switch to Viewer mode to use the Widget
- You are not signed in to your AlfredCamera account
Why does the widget show my camera as offline or unavailable?
The widget will show the camera as offline if it is currently offline, disabled, or deleted. Please open the AlfredCamera App to verify the camera's status.
What happens if the toggle fails?
If the action fails due to a network issue, the Widget will return to its previous state. Please try again after the 30-second cooldown.
