AlfredCamera is proud to introduce the Activity Detection feature, powered by advanced AI technology for enhanced accuracy and responsiveness.
This feature is designed to elevate your security experience, capable of identifying and recording specific activities, such as All Motions, People, Pets, or Vehicles within your surveillance zone.

Each detection type is designed to send either a detection notification or trigger a recorded event, depending on the activity. For example, All Motion, Person, Pet, and Vehicle detections will trigger both detection notifications and recorded notifications, with the videos saved directly to your Event Book for easy access and organization.
On the other hand, Person Lingering, Person Absent, and Motion Stopped detections will only send detection notifications, allowing you to stay informed without the need for a recorded video.
With AI-powered Activity Detection, you’ll always be kept up to date with real-time notifications for key activities, and have the ability to review recorded videos when needed, ensuring you can monitor what matters most without sifting through unnecessary footage.

All Motions

A vigilant eye in every corner, All Motions Detection offers extensive surveillance, capturing each subtle movement within the designated area. This feature is essential for areas requiring constant watch, making sure that every activity is promptly detected and accounted for.
Once enabled, instant notifications for all detected motions are sent to users, ensuring real-time awareness. This enhancement in alertness amplifies the security responsiveness, granting peace of mind and enabling immediate action.

Person Detection

A nuanced approach to security, Person Detection is adept at identifying and recording human activities with precision. It becomes an essential tool in settings where monitoring visitor behaviors or detecting intruders is a priority, adding a layer of safety and assurance.
When activated, it captures detailed human activity videos and immediately tags these events in the Event Book, while also sending notifications to users. This dual advantage of real-time alerts and easy filtering ensures users stay informed and can swiftly locate specific incidents for review or action.

Pet Detection

A blend of technology and compassion, Pet Detection is tailored for pet owners seeking to ensure the safety and well-being of their furry friends. It’s designed to capture every move, offering insights into your pets’ behaviors and activities when you’re away.
When this feature is on, it meticulously records pet activities and tags each event in the Event Book while sending notifications to the owners. This ensures both the safety of pets and provides owners with the convenience of easily accessing specific pet activity records, keeping the connection alive and well informed.

Vehicle Detection

An asset for monitoring vehicular movements, Vehicle Detection is meticulously designed for accuracy and efficiency. It’s invaluable for tracking vehicle activity, making it a preferred choice for homeowners monitoring driveways and businesses overseeing parking areas.
When enabled, it diligently records vehicle movements, tagging each event in the Event Book and sending instant notifications. Users are thus empowered with immediate information and the convenience of easily filtering and reviewing specific vehicular events, enhancing security responsiveness.

⚠️ Notes:

Pet Detection is primarily designed for cats and dogs, while it can detect other animals, the performance may not be optimal, and variations in detection accuracy can occur.
In low-light conditions, Person, Vehicle, and Pet Detection on the mobile camera will switch to detecting All Motions for optimal performance.

Person Lingering

The Person Lingering feature is perfect for those wanting to monitor specific areas for extended human activity. Perhaps you want to keep an eye on your property to ensure no one is lingering where they shouldn't be.
By turning on the Person Lingering toggle, you shall find the setting icon appear on your screen.
We offer four different duration settings to choose from: 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes

If a person lingers in the frame for a duration selected by you, AlfredCamera will send an alert to your device, allowing you to respond promptly to any potential threats or suspicious activities.

People Absent

The People Absent setting is an ideal feature for those who want to monitor the arrival times of individuals. For instance, if you're a parent wanting to ensure your child arrives home safely from school, this feature is designed for you.
By turning on the People Absent toggle, you shall find the setting icon appear on your screen.

You can designate a specific time frame and if AlfredCamera does not detect any human activity within this period, it will promptly send you an alert.

For example, if you anticipate your child's arrival between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM and no one arrives home during that specified timeframe, AlfredCamera will ensure to send you an alert by 5:30 PM

This feature is not only limited to monitoring children but can be customized to fit a variety of scenarios such as checking the arrival of household staff, roommates, or elderly relatives, ensuring that you're always informed about the safety and whereabouts of your loved ones.

Motion Stopped

This unique setting is designed to alert you when motion within a monitored area ceases. Perhaps you're monitoring an important process that requires continual movement.
By turning on the Motion Stopped toggle, you shall find the setting icon appear on your screen.
We offer three different duration settings to choose from: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes

If the motion stops for the selected amount of time, AlfredCamera will alert you, allowing you to react swiftly.
Person Lingering, Person Absent, and Motion Stopped Detection offers an unparalleled level of customization. You can modify the settings to control what AlfredCamera notifies you about. This means you can choose to receive alerts according to the advanced settings and durations you select. You'll get real-time updates right on your device, enabling you to act promptly if needed.

⚠️ Notes: Person Lingering, Person Absent, and Motion Stopped Detection only sends notifications under specific conditions and does not influence the recording of your Motion Events. If you wish to save the footage to your Event Book, make sure to enable All Motions in the settings.

What are the system requirements?

Where do I check the Events?

To view the Events recorded by Person, Pet, Vehicle Detection, please go to the camera list and tap on the Events icon.
By selecting the Event type, you will be able to filter out the Events based on the Detection type.

What is the best setup for me?

Different devices and sizes of pets or vehicles might affect detection sensitivity. We recommend setting the sensitivity high initially and adjusting as per your experience over a few days.

What steps can enhance detection accuracy?

Position your device within 6-9 meters of the objects of interest
Ensure the monitoring area is well-lit, especially during the night
Enable Low-Light Filter or Night Vision in dim light conditions
Focus on capturing left-to-right movements
Avoid distractions like trees, flags, or intense light, and avoid filming through windows or screens
Keep the camera lens clean for optimal performance

Can my Camera devices still record and save video while it’s offline?

A stable network connection is critical for this feature to work. Without a network connection, the AlfredCamera app on your Camera device will not be able to run or record videos. Please ensure that your device is connected to a stable network.

What can Continuous Autofocus do for you?

Continuous Autofocus is an exclusive feature for iOS Cameras and iOS Viewers that lets you choose your preferred focus mode during event recordings. When enabled, the camera dynamically adjusts its focus to keep objects sharp and clear, providing a smoother and more personalized recording experience. When Continuous Autofocus is disabled, the camera focuses on the center point during event recordings, ensuring a stable focus for scenes where the center of the frame is the priority. This flexible feature allows you to tailor the focus mode to suit your recording needs, ensuring the best results for every situation.

Find the "Continuous Autofocus" option in the Advanced Section
Turn on the Continuous Autofocus toggle

This feature is only available when using both an iOS Camera and an iOS Viewer.
