Detection Zone

With Detection Zone, you can customize Alfred only to record motions and activities that occur within a specific area! Any movements detected outside of the Detection Zone will not be triggered by the Camera, and you won't receive notifications or pill up your storage with unwanted Events.

How do I set up a Detection Zone?

To set up a Detection Zone, please 

1. Enter Camera settings
   
2. Enable the Activity Detection
3. Tap Detection Zone
   
4. Enable the Detection Zone toggle and a colored box will appear
5. Drag the dots to adjust the size and position of the Detection Zone
   
6. You are all set!

⚠️ Note: If you zoom in or rotate the image after applying a detection zone, the zone will adjust itself automatically to record the same area.

Can I set up multiple Detection Zones?

At present, AlfredCamera supports configuring just one Detection Zone per camera. This design ensures a focused monitoring experience, allowing you to pinpoint a specific area of importance for motion detection alerts. By concentrating on a single zone, we aim to optimize the accuracy and relevance of the notifications you receive, ensuring you're alerted to movements that matter most to you.

Why are there only four dots in my Detection Zone settings?

When configuring the Detection Zone, the software Camera and AlfredCam Plus allow for the placement and adjustment of up to eight dots for precise area selection. However, AlfredCam currently offers a configuration of four adjustable points. This distinction arises from the different technologies with AlfredCam.
